Welder

A family-owned and -operated client who has been a leader in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing for over 50 years seeks a TIG and MIG welder to cut and join aluminum and other metals. You would work Monday – Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The pay rate is $18-$20 per hour for this contract-to-hire role.

Responsibilities:

  • Reading blueprints and drawings
  • Taking measurements to plan the layout and procedures
  • Determining and executing the welding methods based on the specifications
  • Using calipers, rulers, clamp pieces, and other devices to align components
  • Using heat, presses, clamps, or other methods to straighten parts
  • Testing and inspecting welded surfaces to ensure production quality
  • Maintaining equipment to optimize safety

Required abilities:

  • Regularly be exposed to vibration, bright light, dangerous heat, and moderate noise levels
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls to climb or balance
  • Frequently walk, reach with hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
  • See up close, use peripheral vision and depth perception, and adjust focus
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of TIG welding experience
  • Experience using electrical and manual saws, squares, calipers, and other tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
  • Knowledge of safety standards
  • Willingness to wear a face shield, safety gloves, and other personal protective equipment
  • AWS welding certificate or other certification preferred
  • Experience working with stainless steel is preferred

Assembly Technician

A custom manufacturing client that creates custom earpieces for hearing protection products seeks a qualified manufacturing technician. You would work Monday – Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The pay rate is $16 per hour for this contract-to-hire position.

Duties:

  • Create molds of impressions, including mixing plaster or using colloid
  • Use equipment to trim, wax, and clean molds
  • Use a grinding machine and other small tools
  • Operate and maintain drills, grinders, pneumatic injection guns, small hand tools, and other lab machinery
  • Trim and wax impressions
  • Use grind and flap sand monitors
  • Solder

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • One year of manufacturing experience
  • Small-part assembly experience
  • Ability to follow detailed verbal and/or written instructions and drawings
  • Attention to detail

Press Brake Operator

Our client seeks a second-shift press brake operator. You would work Monday – Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The pay rate is $17-$19 per hour for this contract-to-hire role.

Duties:

  • Comply with company safety procedures and standards
  • Follow the blueprint and schematics
  • Use the press brake to shape metal by aligning and positioning the material
  • Inspect pieces of metal for imperfections and overall quality
  • Maintain the machine

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high level of safety, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Perform setup, preventative maintenance, cleaning, and operation of assigned press brakes
  • Use the blueprint or work order to ensure the proper punch, die, package, and shape of the product
  • Detect and report to the supervisor defective materials or questionable conditions

Required abilities:

  • Wear personal protective equipment
  • Regularly be exposed to vibration and moderate noise levels

  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls to climb or balance

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, trade school, or equivalent
  • Two years of press brake experience
  • Training in machine safety and quality awareness
  • Demonstrated proficiency in reading specification blueprints
